The young farmer, as usual, woke up when it was still dark to pick up fresh vegetables for the queen.
Small rodents had chewed some and the farmer could only catch a few that didn´t look very nice.
On reaching the palace, the queen red with rage, threw him out of the palace and told him to bring double fresh vegetables the following day.
The man, tired of having to eat leftovers and do not charge up, grabbed and smashed vegetables contaminated soil in a fit of anger.
Then he thought .... ... he picked the vegetables and crushed them and put them in oil and salt to maintain the mix them better. The farmer wanted to take revenge to the queen.
The next day the farmer was awakened by a horrible smell and decided to put a few drops of vinegar to hide the smell.
He went to the queen, and offered it as a rich vegetable stock. A delicacy for their mistake.
The Queen, delighted, asked him to prepare it every day to delight your guests.
Since then, the leftovers are for the rich!
As in your story abour mermaids, this one sounds like another one that already exists. Apart from that, is a quite interesting idea to use this topic and this way to develop it. Good use of dialogues!
